A most enjoyable experience...recommended!
My family and I spent 5 delightful days at KRUGER COTTAGE in November 2021. The situation is perfect as both Crocodile Bridge Gate and Malalane Gate into the Kruger National Park are easily accessible, giving one access to the whole of southern KNP.
To add to this the cottage is beautifully and comfortably furnished and professionally maintained.
The setting in the bush gives one the opportunity of enjoying wild-life roaming through at times.
A most enjoyable experience and one that can be recommended.

Relaxter Aufenthalt
Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig in der Nähe zum Crocodile River und ist gut ausgestattet. Wir verbrachten 3 entspannte Tage hier. Bei heißem Wetter genossen wir den Plunge Pool. An der Terrasse hatten wir Besuch von Straußen, Zebras und Giraffen. Im Dach über der Terrasse wohnte eine Familie Bushbabies, die wir beobachten konnten.

Kruger Cottage is perfek geleë in Marloth Park.
Kruger Cottage het als wat jy nodig het en genoeg ruimte in die leefarea. Loopafstand van die Krokodilrivier af met 'n lieflike uitsig. Het 'n groot verskeidenheid diere gesien waarvan 'n olifant teenaan die grenslyn was. 'n Perfekte wegbreek in die bosveld.

Rustig en opwindend met al die diere wat verbykom elke dag
Ruim huis met lekker kombuis, braai-area en swembad. Dis net wat mens wil hê met vakansie. Die bonus is dis net 100 m van die rivier af en diere kom elke dag by die huis verby.

We had a lovely time in the pool as the weather was so hot. House is well equipped. Saw some lovely animals visiting us kudus, ostriches, wildebeest and warthogs. We will definitely be back!

Aangenaam, rustig, kalm en 'n heerlike uitspanplek!
Wat 'n aangename plek. Die fasiliteite is eenvoudig dog prakties. Ek en my vrou het die week geniet met baie besoekers uit die natuur. Net 'n groot jammerte dat ons weer huistoe moes gaan. Ons het beide 'n deel van ons hart daar verloor en moet definitief binnekort teruggaan om dit te gaan soek!

Worth every cent!
Our stay at Kruger cottage was amazing. Everything was perfect. the pool was a lifesaver as well as the corner bath. We especially adored the zebra and Vlakvark coming to our door for snacks. You cant buy that kind of nature anywhere or at any other accomodation. The rooms where cosy and neat and tidy.The only suggestion would be to install air conditioner in the rooms. Other than that, there was nothing to complain about. We where so impressed, we have decided to book again with Joan in 2 months time.
We had a car accident in the Kruger National park during our stay, Joan was on the ball trying to assist us with an extra day accomodation and tracking down car mechanics to assist us. She was going the extra mile and that kind of service is hard to find. Furthermore Joan was very informative and made an effort to call us and tell us about all of the animals that come to visit and where we should go and what we should see. Thank you for excellent service and a beautiful place to stay. We have now found a new favourite.

We visited Kruger Cottage during the first week of October. That was the best week in years. We watched the zebra, kudu, warthhog, bushbuck and other species grazing within metres of where we were sitting on the verandah. I even fed a shy bushbuck some bread out of my hand. What a peaceful and restful experience. I will definitely recommend Kruger Cottage to all my friends and I will definitely be back. The inside of the house was neat and clean and very well equipped. Thanks for sharing this amazing place with us.

I have been going to the Lowveld for over 35 years , but I have never had such a great holiday as the one we had at Kruger Cottage. What an awesome place and Aunty Joan is the best there will ever be. You can not ask for more , such a nice place and clean and well looked after and fulfilling in all of your needs.

We had a magical 3 nights at Kruger Cottage! My overseas guests were enchanted by the wildlife that came to visit the cottage , being able to feed the Zebra, Kudu and Pumba's as the children called them, was a definite highlight of their stay! We will be back for sure!

The goldmine in the Bushveld - Wow, what a place! Since we stayed there until the day we left there I can not think of one second that was not amazing! I have been going to the Bushveld / Lowveld for more than 30 years and believe you me that this is our little goldmine that we have discovered. We have never ever had a holiday like this before -- it was amazing! Everything in and around the cottage were in perfect condition. Encore!

A comfortable cosy family cottage. Zebra and warthogs were regular visitors. The Crocodile River is really close and we could hear the hippos at night. 7 of us had a lovely 4 days in Marloth. Very informative pre-trip paperwork. Thank you Joan.

Peaceful, relaxing atmosphere, spacious house for the entire family, loved the splash pool and braai place. Great sightings of the giraffes, ostrich, zebras, monkeys, etc...who paid us regular visits. The owner (Joan) phoned us to make sure we are comfortable and assisted with any additional info we needed.
All in all - a splendid time!

We had a lovely week at your cottage! The weather was good and we saw lots of animals around the cottage. We were visited every evening by the warthogs. The bushbabies entertained us every late afternoon as the left the rafters to go out for the night, we also had visits by buck and the zebras were right outside the kitchen door. "Great adventure, Great location, Great place!" I, my wife, friends and family stayed at Kruger Cottage for 2 weeks. This was a lovely, clean and bright place with tile floors. The patio and BBQ area was great and we had wart hogs and zebras visit us. The location was wonderful for a morning tea or coffee walk along the Crocodile River fence line, plenty to birds to see along with a sleeping Rhino on the river bank, deer, hippo, and crocodiles. Kruger Cottage's location is fantastic: we were close to two entrance gates to the Kruger National Park and its position also made it very easy for us to visit Mozambique and Swaziland. Both were great adventures. Marloth Park was a pleasant place with a local shop just down the road to purchase food and supplies. Kruger Cottage had all the amenities for us to enjoy South africa's greatest park and neighboring countries with ease. We would love to go back.

Relaxing! We had a wonderful weekend. It was so nice, and we really didn't want to come back to Jozi. We will visit soon. On our arrival we were welcomed by Zebra's and we started feeding them .0carrots, we didn't even get to the apples that we brought with. Warthogs and Kudu's were also visiting during the course of the afternoon. Friday morning all of us have a walk along the "border" - we had a nice long walk and saw a few animals. We went for a "late afternoon drive" with Koos and his wife the afternoon. We went to Kruger park on Saturday, was waiting in front of the gate at 4:30 as we were told by Koos that we need to be there early. Saw a lot of animals in the park and came home late. We didn't even touch the tv... or the book I took with me...

An invigorating bush experience! Had a comfortable stay. The zebras that come close to be hand fed was a 'wow' experience. Location ideal for taking leisurely walks along the fence. Saw elephants, hippos, different buck and crocodiles. Bush babies at night also very special.

A great South African Wildlife Experience! For our group of 9, accommodation at Kruger Cottage was spacious and comfortable with ample cooking facilities including an outside barbeque area, (campfire style). around which we spent our evenings. It was special when one evening a group of passing zebra joined us. It took just a few minutes to the Kruger Park boundary fence, from where we saw crocodile, hippo and other animals at the river below. Bird watchers will appreciate the variety of birdlife. Kruger Cottage was a handy base for a highly successful visit to the Kruger National Park where saw the Big 5. We had a great time.

We were there in March 2011 and it was a wonderful stay especially for the kids. The scenery was amazing with the animals that eat off your hand; the peacful surroundings. Will definitely recomend to anybody who loves nature.

Great place to stay We had a lovely time at Kruger Cottage and so glad we found this little bit of paradise out in the bushveld. Thanks to Malcolm for making sure the electricity was on, splash pool full and everything clean and tidy when we arrived. The kids swam, fed zebras, kudu and bushbabies. We saw so much game around the house, including an aardvark twice and the 3 hyenas who came to visit one evening and were about 3 meters away from the braai. If you sit with the lights off in the evening, you can see the milky away and have sightings of nocturnal animals. Thank you Joan for letting us have the use of your home for a week. It was wonderful!!!! Lindsey, Mike, Eddie and Judi & 4 kids p.s. We pre-booked to got into the Kruger Park and is something I would recommend that people are advised of.

I couldn't believe this place! It's absolutely beautiful, right in the middle of the most extraordinary surroundings. Every morning we'd take our coffee cups with us and walk along the Kruger Park boundary trail overlooking the Crocodile River. We saw the most amazing colored birds, a rhino resting in the sand, and small deer up close. It was so peaceful... nothing to distract or distress. I highly recommend this for the most peaceful vacation ever!
